Sagunto has a privileged location as it is situated between two natural reserves, Calderona and Espadan Sierras, where you can enjoy their mountains and hiking routes.

The coastline of Sagunto preserves two wetlands which provide environmental benefits by their ecological value.The Marjal dels Moros is the wetland area located in the south of Sagunto. It is a Special Protection Area for birds (ZEPA). And, in the north, the Marjal de Almardà is located. It is in the list of Westland of International importance (the Ramsar listl) especially as habitat for aquatic species.
